Hi Fellow Learner!

This short course is offered free by the OSHMS360 Corp., the training arm of People360 Consulting Corp. It is an Occupational Safety and Health Center -Department of Labor and Employment- (OSHC-DOLE) accredited training organization with accreditation No. 1030-051418-0069.

This course is divided into FOUR parts: Module 1: Why OSH in the Philippines; Module 2: Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health; Module 3: Basic Theory of Work Accident Causation; and Module 4: Recognizing Workplace Safety and Health Hazards.

Its objective is simple: for on-line learners to be better aware of the important role that occupational safety and health plays in the prevention of work accidents and occupational illnesses; the basic theory on the immediate causes of work accidents; and at the same time, be provided with a glimpse on the kinds of hazards workers can be in contact with and or be exposed to, and at the least, the range of control measures available.

While there are only four modules, there are requirements before the transition to the next module. You will be asked to answer a small quiz after each module. A Certificate of Completion will be e-mailed to those who obtain at least a passing grade for each quiz and the final examinations thereafter. For those who wish to receive a Certificate via air parcel (LBC Lhuillier or Palawan Express), we will charge a minimal amount for the printing, and administrative charges, depending on the location of the recipient. A grade is passing if the learner is able to answer correctly at least 70% of the quizzes and obtain an over-all score of 75% at the final examinations.

It is also important that you understand and read BOTH the text and the slide materials. Answering the questions in the case study as well as the quizzes and the final examinations will depend not only in understanding both the text and the slides, but also in processing the learnings as well.

Good luck!
